Ok, so imagine this. It’s 2:25am, you’re strolling through the aisles of Walgreens, tossing things into the cart like Lakewood Organic Cranberry Juice and Square One Vodka, when suddenly you hear a lot of raucous yelling and general belligerence, and you turn the corner into the pharmacy aisle and see a small man with greasy slicked-back hair and a leather bracelet being handcuffed and restrained by two police officers. Then you realize that that small man is Shia Labeouf (and you instinctively get out the camera phone).
A lucky soul got to witness this spectacle last night as Shia Labeouf was arrested for drunkenly trespassing at Walgreens. The actor reportedly ignored repeated requests to exit the pharmacy, and was so intent on staying that security was called to set him straight. Which makes us wonder, what possibly, at 2:25 am, could have made Young Beouf so insistent on staying in that pharmacy… could it start with a ‘p’ and end with ‘ercaset’?
But which drugstore doesn’t love a high profile celebrity arrest? Maybe this’ll get Walgreens some long-overdue publicity for its green operations initiatives, like installing solar panels in over 100 stores (making it the largest solar project ever completed in the US). We hope it does, and on behalf of Walgreens: Thanks, Shia… but you’re still not hard.
