For Donatella: Camel is the new black

She may be wearing mink, but Donatella obviously thinks that the camel is the newest “it” animal

For the past few weeks, Donatella Versace has been basking in the limelight (and probably complaining that it doesn’t have enough UV rays) — first, holding a fashion talent contest to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of her brother Gianni’s death, and then showing off her “satiny, wrinkled iron lady curtain” at a Moscow cocktail soirĂ©e. The fashion show not only honored her late brother, but also granted young designer Michele Guglielmo a three year scholarship to the prestigious IED Moda Lab. But who wants to be famous for being generous, anyway? At long last, Donatella finally proved that there is indeed one part of her body that remains Botox-free.

One look at her blindingly blond hair, beestung lips, and Creamsicle-tinted skin, and it probably won’t come as a huge surprise that Donatella isn’t exactly an “au natural,” tree-hugging kind of girl. In fact, when it comes to the environment and resource conservation, the fashion designer is nothing short of an ecological nightmare: she supports skinning pythons for the sake of ‘high fashion,’ buys exorbitant amounts of beauty products (in triplicate, no less), and brings her furniture with her whenever she travels so she can feel more at home. Forget Prada — the Devil definitely wears Versace. AT
