Final Curtain Call for Papa Bear by informrbean

We’re already missin’ our Big Pavs. Luciano Pavarotti, the original man-diva lost his battle with pancreatic cancer Thursday at his home in Modena, Italy. He made it to the big 7-1 though, so we’re proud of the fight our Papa Bear had in him.

Some loved him, some abhored his moody temperment, but all came together to appreciate his singing. Who can deny a compliment to the voice that roused 17 curtain calls at the Met after he hit 9 high Cs? That papa bear could sing! High enough to sound like a girl even. So, he may have had an ego the size of his 65″ velvet swaddled waist, but we’re really going to miss us some Pavarotti.

And kudos to the city of Modena for implementing extra public transportion options for mourners who want to pay homage to the great one. We appreciate the enviro effort in the wake of your loss.

This calls for some comfort food. Manicotti, anyone?   InformrBean
